Showing the Way to Constitutional Democracy

The Bundesbrief serves as a beacon of hope worldwide for those who strive for the democratic stronghold of liberty and freedom and can help provide reassurance, security, and guidance. Our greatest challenge today is to extend the promise of political freedom and economic opportunity to those who are still denied it, in our home country and around the world. We seek to collaborate with other voices in democracy to push forward our robust agenda of providing “we the people” with access to democracy and constitutional freedoms worldwide.

Statement of Purpose

The Corporation is incorporated exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes, including, without limitation, to sponsor publications, conferences, a digital library, symposia and speeches pertaining to the Bundesbrief, its heritage and influence as follows:

To establish and maintain a society for the encouragement of patriotic and literary fellowship,
To promote good fellowship among the descendants of those who participated in the creation of the confederation,
To keep ever in mind the events connected with this most celebrated episode in the annals of human political endeavor,
To inspire the members of the society and others with admiration and respect for the principles of confederal and constitutional government, and
To observe the anniversary of the date of this the most famous binding contract and its protections; August 1, 1291.
